Rear Bed This is designed as a sofa that will slide out into an (almost) full size bed. This encloses the fresh water tank/equipment and offers storage below via cabinet doors when in the sleeping position. The headboard provides additional storage for linens. WEEK THIRTY-SEVEN: Last Ceiling Panel, Dinette Shelf & Plumbing Begins
Last Ceiling Panel Last ceiling panel shellac'd and put in place. Since this panel isn't supported by any cabinets I went ahead and added the arched rafter for support before installing. New rafter traced from an original piece. It gave it good rigidity and when combined with the trim pieces at either side, the panel sits firm. Last ceiling light installed and ready to go. WEEK THIRTY-SIX: Front Bunk, Insulating Wheel Wells & REAL Electrical
Front Bunk Original aluminum side rails cleaned with fine steel wool and mineral spirits. Rails fastened to the wall with #10 screws and original board laid across. Old light replaced with new LED fixture over the dinette. Insulating Wheel Wells First wheel well box built below the kitchenette using 1/8" luan, 1x pine boards and 3/4" DOW styrofoam insulation.
